One
The dyad
Every level of the company is co-led by a clinician and an administrator, as peers. Neither reports to the other. Where a decision affects patient safety, the clinical partner decides.
Two
Salaried clinicians
Clinicians are salaried, never paid on production. No referral commission is paid or taken anywhere in the group, in either direction.
Three
Clinical control
Medical protocols and pathways are set by clinicians. Medical Director appointments are made by peer selection.
Patient safety, then quality, then finance. In that order, in every tie-break.

Thirteen Specialty Councils
A chair sets the medical standard for a discipline and is clinically accountable for every case in it, at every site.
A chair’s authority is clinical. It does not change with the city, the business or the size of the bill.
A council owns the protocols, the pathways and the credentialing for its discipline. The standard does not change from site to site, and it does not bend to a local commercial argument. Chairs include Dr. Kasturi Bhadsavle in ophthalmology, Dr. Noopur Desai in oncology and Dr. Shiwani Tandel in exotics.
