01How we work

How we work

What is different here

Five things that change what a working week looks like.

None of this is a benefit. It is the structure the company is governed by, and it is written down.

Salaried, never on production

Clinicians are salaried. Nobody earns more by treating more, so nobody has to argue with their own pay packet before recommending the right thing.

No referral commission

None is paid or taken anywhere in the group, in either direction. A case goes where it should go.

Two tracks, as peers

Clinical and administrative leads run the company side by side. Neither reports to the other. Where a decision affects patient safety, the clinical partner decides.

One tie-break order

Patient safety, then quality, then finance. In that order, every time.

Teaching counts

Faculty for IIVS come from the group’s own bench. Teaching is part of the job, not something you do after it.

02Training

Training

The IIVS ladder

The group’s academy, wholly owned, running fourteen disciplines.

Residents rotate through the network rather than sitting in one clinic. The faculty are the group’s own specialists.

Teaching is delivered digitally, with clinical rotations through the network. Faculty come from the group’s own bench.

Your clinical colleagues

Clinical leadership sits with people who still see patients.

Names are listed with the discipline each person is accountable for. Specialty Council chairs are marked as such.

Dr. Kasturi Bhadsavle in ophthalmology, DIBVO. Dr. Noopur Desai in oncology, the only US board-certified veterinary radiation oncologist practising in India. Dr. Shiwani Tandel in exotics. Dr. Hamsini Yagneshwar in emergency and critical care. Dr. Daniela Zurr in behavioural medicine. Dr. Makarand Chousalkar as Chief Medical Officer. On the management track, Neha Jain as Chief Operating Officer, Gazal Malaiya as Chief People Officer, Ravi Jolly as Chief Real Estate and Procurement Officer and Sujit Deshpande as Chief Growth Officer, with Sanket Baralay and Sheroy Wadia as Co-Chief Executives.

Clinical roles are set in forest; the administrative bench in brass. The two tracks are equal, and neither reports to the other.

04Process

Process

How we hire

Four steps. The same four for clinical and non-clinical appointments.

The steps do not change with the seniority of the appointment. The offer is always in writing.

  1. 01 A conversation You talk to the people you would work with, including the clinical leads.
  2. 02 Pressure-test the scope We put the scope in front of you and ask you to argue with it.
  3. 03 See the work Site visits. The clinics and the hospital floors, not a deck.
  4. 04 A written offer Scope, reporting line, how you will be measured, and the terms. In writing.

Tell us about your experience, the contribution you would like to make and where you are based. Write to careers@vhi.vet.

Locations

Six cities, two countries

Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Gurugram in India. Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

A base is where you work from, not the limit of what you see.

Tell us which city you can work from. Clinical rotations run through the network, so training is not limited to the site you are based at.

Send what you do, where you trained and which city you can work from. Clinical and non-clinical applications go to the same address and are read by the people you would work with.
